What is human capital management?

Human capital management aims to transform the management function of human resources (HR) department from traditional recruitment, training, salary, compensation and performance management to improving employee engagement, productivity and business value. In human capital management (HCM), employees are not only a business operation cost, but also a core asset of the enterprise. Same as any other asset, they can realize the maximum value through effective strategic investment and management.

Definition of human capital management

Human capital management refers not only to an enterprise strategy, but also to a series of modern IT applications and other related technologies to realize the strategy. There are slight differences between HCM and HR, HRMS, HRIS and other terms, but they can be used interchangeably in some scenarios.
